OUR TEAM
Josh Pavlovich was born in Santa Cruz, CA and lived there for 35 years until moving to Redding in 2008. He held various positions at internet related tech companies for many years during the 1990s to early 2000 era, before getting to devote full time to flying when that industry started to collapse. He previously instructed full time for over 5 years at the Watsonville airport (WVI) which often included training flights at various airports in the SF Bay Area and the central valley. He married his lovely wife, Amy, in 2012 and they have 3 school age children: Sadie, Korben, and Makayla.
Continuing to instruct full time at Benton he currently has almost 10000 hours of flight instruction given in the last 20 years, and has trained a number of FAA private pilots, as well as instrument pilots, commercial pilots, and flight instructors, with a number of endorsements given for complex, high performance, and tailwheel training. He has flown over 40 different models of aircraft, from simple hand prop Champ models, up to aircraft just hours after being built at the factory. He looks forward to some day being able to do some float plane training for pilots in the Redding area.
Josh has held a FAA Gold Seal on his instructor certificate since 2007, which is the FAA recognition of a high number of first time applicants passed.
Josh maintains a 100% first time pass rate for all applicants he has sent for advanced certificates and ratings (Instrument, Commercial, Flight Instructor). In addition to his Flight Instructor certificates, he also holds an Instrument Ground Instructor certificate, and an FAA UAS (drone) remote pilot certificate.
He may be available for after hours (normal schedule times are in the 7am-3pm Monday-Friday) or weekends by previous arrangement. Text is the best contact method.
